SAS is pleased to announce the grand opening of our new facility.  Located in Burbank, CA just a few blocks away from our old facility “SAS has expanded into a customized and modernized facility with more that double the space”, Al Salci Vice-President said.  “Our move into this facility is a symbol of our steady growth and our expanding engineering and manufacturing capabilities.”

CBS Radio Philadelphia (KWY and WYSP) have taken delivery of a three (3) frame 32KD digital audio network system comprised of ten  (10) Rubicon and Rubicon SL console surfaces and a variety of Rubi-T Edit/News production consoles.  Shop NBC in Minneapolis took delivery of a 32KD digital audio network system with a large 36 channel Rubicon console for their TV on air production operation. 

 

In Miami, Radio Marti took delivery of a 32KD with (3) Rubicon-SL consoles.  This system will be integrated alongside (and into) their current 64000 and 32000 SAS routers.  In Hartford, WCCC took delivery of a stand-alone system consisting of a dual RIO configuration with a Rubicon-SL console.  Finally, Bonneville Broadcasting - Chicago expanded their system with another Rubicon console.

 

SAS announces that Richard Schumeyer has joined the company as National Sales Manager.  Richard comes to Sierra Automated Systems & Eng. Corp. with an extensive background in broadcasting and engineering.  Most recently known for his responsibilities as manager of the broadcast systems group for Pacific Research & Eng. Inc. and later continuing with Harris after their acquisition, Schumeyer founded and operated Spectrum Broadcast Inc. where he designed, integrated and installed many radio studio facilities.  “It certainly is a great fit for all of us” Says Al Salci, Vice President.  “We have a lot of first-rate history with Richard and have many facility completions together since the early 90’s.  We have had great success in several major markets with Spectrum Broadcast and Sierra Automated Systems and we look forward to entering a new era of digital virtual systems.  Richard will bring an abundance of knowledge and experience toward our goal of providing complete systems solutions for our friends in the Radio Broadcasting Industry.”

 

SAS announces that Cam Eicher has joined the company as a Director of Sales.  "SAS is excited to have Cam on board to help the company accelerate its growth to a wider field of customers.  “We our committed to providing complete systems solutions for our friends in the radio broadcast industry and Cam will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience toward that goal” said Al Salci, Vice President.  Cam will continue to be based out of his office in the Cincinnati area.  Cam brings 19 years of experience in radio, the last 15 in equipment sales. Most recently, he was Director of Sales for Logitek Systems, Inc.  Prior to that Cam was Broadcast Center Manager for Harris.
