Primer: How to build the New Digital Audio Networked Radio Facility
Now SAS offers complete full functioning Intercom over the Internet. Not just VOIP over a dedicated, highly managed QOS LAN, the SAS internet intercom interface provides a full duplex communication system complete with control over the public internet. The RCS/DCS -16 intercom control panels operate thru an IP protocol that provides two channels of bi-directional audio and control, and is suitable for high fidelity intercom to a remote location, city or country. Operation at the “internet remote” location is no different than operation from a panel connected at the same facility, directly to the 32KD. Full unlimited "talk / group talk" and "listens / group listens" are available anytime, all the time with this non blocking full unlimited mixing digital audio network, even via the public internet. Standard features include destination alpha numeric dial up, instant access “talk and listen” buttons, auto call answer, built in speaker and headphone monitoring facilities as well as built in microphone with dynamics limiter pre amplifier. This solution is ideal for remote broadcasts where intercommunications from the remote location requires access any destination within the 32KD facility.
